• I’ve been thinking of starting something like this for a long time. However, there was always some excuse to not follow through on it. Work is too busy. Life is insane. Maybe it will get better in the next season. Then work never clears up, life doesn’t stop and all of a sudden, like a blink of an eye, you are years down the road. So here I am – sitting and staring at my ceiling at 1AM in the morning actually following through on starting this thing.

About 3 years ago, I felt convicted to start Journaling my life more – taking a minute to pause, reflect and process how my days were going. That was great in theory, but honestly I am someone who needs other people involved to be fully invested. Take running for example. I think running on my own is utterly pointless, but running while playing a game of 5v5 is exhilarating. This for me is the basketball court of Journaling. If even one person somehow discovers this and is impacted, then this has done its job.

Above everything, my hope is that this points you to living a life with Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. I gave my life to Christ when I was 10 years old, and I can honestly say that it was the best decision I will ever make.

Living life as a follower of Jesus hasn’t always been easy. An easy life is never promised in scripture; in fact the exact opposite is assured. To top off the trials that we face personally, we also are dealing with a world that seems to be getting more broken by the minute. Living in this time effectively requires more pausing, reflecting and processing then ever before.

And that is ultimately what this is. It’s a space for thoughts to be written down fully. It’s a place to long for the return of Jesus and wrestle with the In Between period we find ourselves in.

I might say some things on here that you agree with. Good. I will for sure say some things that you disagree with. Good. We might get political. We might get theological. My word and opinion are not gospel. I am like you, trying to find a way to follow Jesus and thrive in 2025.

So with that, I say welcome – welcome to the chaos!
